​​Donate and Get A Critique!

Our staff now is able to offer feedback as a thank you for a donation.  By donating to Somos en escrito, you'll help us achieve our goals of funding contests, operating costs, and operating a small press. 

Lengths
$20 up to 25 pages (short story, essay, chapter) per donation
$10 for one or two flash pieces or poems both under 2 pages. 
Feel free to inquire about our prices for critiques of longer works or manuscripts.

All pieces submitted for critique will be considered for publication after the author has revised the work to satisfaction. 

Your donation goes back into the community. 
Somos en escrito intends to recirculate donated money within the community by facilitating arts by and for the indigenous-hispanic community. We want to create more podcast and video interviews with esteemed scholars and writers, establish a small press imprint to publish more Latino literature, and offer bigger prizes for our writing contest winners. We also wish for qualified feedback to be available to a broader spectrum of writers who often get priced out of or not selected for workshops and other literary spaces due to the misunderstanding and monolithic views of gatekeepers, who often charge more than double for the service we are offering. Furthermore, we hope to build relationships and nurture writers as we ourselves grow as a publisher.
